MATERIAL HANDLER/MACHINE OPERATOR
Position Summary
Material Handler/Machine Operator is responsible for filling customer orders, delivering them to the delivery platform, loading product onto trailers in a manner that meets company standards for safety, security and productivity, and setting up, maintaining and operating assigned machinery.
Position Key Accountabilities:
- Measure, label, and place material in stock locations for PTFE bushings.
- Weigh and place in oven, bronze bushings for stress relieving. After stress reliving process, bronze bushing placed in stock location.
- Process all paperwork for incoming raw material.
- Pull and issue material to work orders going into the shop for production.
- Issue material to work order material sheets and return material to stock locations.
- Coordinate with supervisor on cycle counts for all raw material.

- Set up and mill packing rings
- Maintain oil and coolant levels
- Norton Hyprolapper
- Set up and grind packing rings to oversize or finish dimensions
- Tear down and set back up machine during wheel dressing procedure
- Recognize and maintain coolant level
- Double Disc Grinder
- Set up and grind PTFE packing rings
- Table Saw
- Set up and cut miscellaneous parts and deburr using bench grinder
Certifications/Skills:
- Strong communication skills a must
- Knowledge of operating other warehouse machinery
- Data entry, math and computer skills
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Certification in forklift operation a plus
Minimum Education:
High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
Minimum Experience:
1+ years operating heavy equipment and working in a warehouse setting
Physical Requirements:
Exerts up to 75 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently and/or up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects
